Dracula
Novel by Bram Stoker, it has been adapted countless times into plays and movies. The best one we love is starring Gary Oldman, directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Winona Ryder and Gary Oldman’s chemistry takes the movie to an insanely hot level.

Anne Rice, one of the few women who wrote good vamp fiction wrote this novel which got adapted into a movie starring two Hollywood hunks Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.

The plot where Dracula’s granddaughter finds out – she’s Dracula’s granddaughter. With an intriguing plot and a strong storyline, the novel and the movie both have been loved immensely by readers and audiences.
Southern Vampire Mysteries
Also known as the Sookie Stackhouse series, this has been adapted into a famous TV Show ‘True Blood’. The TV series did so well, there were bottles of flavoured beverages called True Blood sold, just like in the show. The books have earned a lot of accolades.

A series of books by L. J. Stine, the story of a girl feeling a connection with a vampire has grabbed many eyeballs – as a page turning series as well as a TV show. The plot happens to be one of the coolest writings of fiction shows.
Vampire Academy
The series of books by Richelle Mead, the movie version of it did not do that well. Vampire Academy as books is great for teens to read and has much more to offer than just a simple love story. The plot thickens as the series of six books progresses. Also note depiction of Russian and Romanian cultures in the books, a fresh take on vamps.
